Grant H. Potts, Ph.D.

Grant H. Potts is a researcher in ritual theory, contemporary religious movements, and the intersection of religion and contemporary life. He received his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, where he wrote a dissertation on the development of the concept of ritual within contemporary intellectual culture. He has also presented and published on Gaia theory, pagan concepts of nature, and ritual and knowledge-sharing practices within contemporary magical movements. His teaching experience includes university courses in religious studies, comparative religion, and critical writing. He is an initiate of the Ordo Templi Orientis and editor of Agape, the national newsletter of that organization. gpotts@cherryhillseminary.org
