This course begins with a brief introduction to the science of archeology with students being directed to archaeological field reports and other scientific documents (including some which give evidence of ancient ritual in several ancient cultures), then moves to field reports on Ireland’s New Grange and a look at the recent evidence for what may be ritual incest among the ancient Hiberno-Celtic elite.
